The Integrative Medicine Institute and Dr. Riley have sponsored and participated in educational activities focusing on three groups, providers, patients, and the healthcare industry. Practitioners from the New Mexico medical community have been educated about appropriate referrals for complementary and alternative medicine through Southwest Health Option in partnership with Women’s Health Services.

Dr. Riley developed an education progam for the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine Fellowship program on homeopathy.  This 6 week Internet based educational model, developed in 2003, has been used to introduce approximately 100 physicians to the principles of homeopathy, how it is used in primary care and as a specialty practice, and how the fellows might interact with patients using homeopathy as a primary or adjunctive therapy in addressing their healthcare concerns.  In addition the resarch evidence surrounding homeopathy was reviewed and discussed.

Dr. Riley continues to lecture around the United States and Europe on issues related to the integration of complementary and alternative medicine into the delivery of healthcare.
